Year Olds: use a Full Literacy Program including literacy centers which are curriculum-driven
and theme-related. These centers are changed frequently as new skills are introduced. Literacy Centers include
ABC Games, Listening, Pocket Chart, Storytelling, Computer, Reading, Book Nook, Look 'N Cook, Drama, Library, Read the
Room, Write the Room, and others as needed. Students are actively involved in hands-on learning using these centers
to develop phonemic awareness, spelling, and writing concepts as the teacher works with small groups.
